Gary: Yes I am, it's good to be here, Alan.

Alan: Great Gary.  First of all, I guess it'd be good to hear a little about your personal background, where you've come from and perhaps how you've come across Sir Jason Winters and his team?

Gary: Well I'm originally from Buffalo, NY in the US, immigrated to Australia in 1985 from a spiritual community in Scotland called Findhorn, I was the director of healing there for 5 years. My wife and I decided a much warmer location was a better way to go, so we came to Australia in 1985.I was the first 7 level Reiki teacher in Australia. I introduced Reiki to most of Australia and was traveling around the world at the time, teaching health seminars in 17 different countries.

Alan: Oh, wow, very interesting.

Gary: Yes, and I've known about the Jason Winters tea for about 17 years. I drink it personally, and have always noticed tremendous health benefits from it.  We never got colds, had endless energy, slept well. And even with my schedule of traveling around the world and traveling every other weekend within Australia, I had people who were 20, 30 years my junior attempt the same schedule and last 3 months.  And I lasted 18 years doing that.  A lot I attribute to the Jason Winter's Tea as well as my own personal discipline.

Alan: Sure, then how did you get to be distributing the tea here in Australia? Did you meet Sir Jason.what happened there?

Gary: Well, we used to order the tea from New Zealand, and when I went to order one day the supplier was disconnected and we couldn't get a hold of him. So I eventually contacted Sir Jason in the United States and asked him what had happened- and that man was no longer the distributor. I was looking for a change- I was tired of traveling around the world, I was missing my four children and my wife, and I thought I wanted to do some work at home. So right at the spur of the moment, I asked sir Jason- well, would you like a new agent for Australia/New Zealand?  And luckily enough, he had heard of my seminars. And he said, "Well, we've heard some good things about you Gary and so yes we'd love to have you on board".  That was about 5 years ago.  I actually started out ordering, I think my first order was 3 cans of the herbal tea, and that was gone in about a day, then I ordered 12 cans, and that was gone very quickly.  In no time at all, with no advertising other than word of mouth, and people's experience, we started ordering thousands of cans of tea.

Alan: Fantastic.

Gary: We reached a point where it just became too cumbersome to order from the United States and have it shipped over- so we entered into a manufacturing agreement where we buy the bulk herbs directly from Sir Jason, they're shipped to Australia and we put the herbs into the can, label it, and pack it in Melbourne. We're actually based Coffs Harbour NSW.

Alan: Ok, most people on the line probably won't be familiar at this point with the Jason Winter's story, so could you give us a very brief overview of it? We are going to give people an opportunity to learn about that story, but that's later on in the call so can you give us that overview please?

Gary: Yes, I'd be happy to.  It is quite a fantastic story. And if there is one thing that the story gives me, it's hope. In 1977, Sir Jason, who was quite a well known Hollywood Actor. He played in a lot of "B" Hollywood westerns, was a stuntman in the hit TV series The Lone Ranger, was an Apache Indian in the movie, Apache Agent. 

To cut a long story short, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  He had an infiltrating squamous cell cancer of the tongue, throat, jaws, and he had a tumor the size of a grapefruit wrapped around his coronary artery and attached to the wall of the jugular vein. Doctors determined the cancer was terminal. They attempted chemotherapy but Sir Jason had a severe reaction and couldn't proceed with that. 

Because of the position of the tumor and the way it was wrapped around the carotid artery, they couldn't operate, so they administered radiation.  They gave him 72 doses of cobalt radiation which  had no effect on the tumor and Sir Jason was actually burned black- black and charred.

He lost 35 to 40 kilograms of body weight. After this dismal attempt to help him, they just said- look- there is nothing we can do, you better go home and prepare to die you have about 2 months to live.

And actually what turned him around is quite a fascinating story. Sir Jason was sitting in the hospital in London and they had just given him this information- he was sitting on the bed crying, and in walks Prince Charles.Prince Charles was visiting a mate of his who was in the hospital and sharing a room with Sir Jason, and Prince Charles mate was sleeping.

He looked over and saw Sir Jason crying on the bed- and he walked over and picked up Sir Jason's chart- and said "What's wrong Mr. Winters?" and Sir Jason said, "The doctor has just given me 2 months to live." Prince Charles put his hands on Sir Jason's shoulder, and said "Don't worry, Mr. Winters. Only God knows when we're going to die- not doctors."  That's all he said, and he walked out of the room! 

But Sir Jason said those words planted a seed inside of him that said. what if the doctor's are wrong? What if I don't have to die in 2 months?  And he said those few words by Prince Charles ignited this flame inside of him to start looking for an alternative that could help him.  He started reading the bible and other books, and interestingly enough he noticed in the bible that herbs are mentioned 27 times for medicinal purposes.

So Sir Jason called up his old mate, the Arch Bishop of Canterbury, Lord Coggan, and asked him what did he feel the herb was that was mentioned in the bible? After months of research, Lord Coggan gets back and says we feel it's the herb Red clover. 

So Jason starts drinking the Red clover tea.  He starts reading a book on Buddhism, and it says that Buddha recommended a special herb 2500 years ago for tumors, so Sir Jason starts looking around the world for it, and eventually finds it in Singapore. 

The woman who sold him the herb guaranteed that it would get rid of his tumor. He starts taking that and it has no effect what so ever.  Now by this time, he's collapsing, and he actually has his 2 sons carry him on the airplane.

He flies back to the United States, and he remembers when they were making Hollywood movies, that during the breaks, the American actors would go over to the chuck wagon and have cups of coffee and smoke big cigars, and eat jelly doughnuts, where as the Mexicans or Apache Indians that they hired, would build a little fire on the ground, chop off a piece of a cactus, and brew a herb which was Chaparral. 

When Sir Jason asked Jay Silverstein who was Tonto in the Long Ranger what it was, he said, "Look, the Chaparral is a powerful blood purifier." So you can imagine Sir Jason now drinking the Red clover washing out the pot and then brewing the Buddhist herb and washing out the pot, and now making this Chaparral. He did this for weeks- and it didn't do anything; didn't help him at all.

Finally, he was actually lying on the floor in his kitchen, he didn't have the energy to get up- the family was out, and he thought- well, look- if I'm dying, I'm going to mix all these 3 herbs together. He put them together in a pot, he brewed it up- and in his life story- "Killing Cancer, The Sir Jason Winters Story" he said it was a Wednesday morning at 10:00am and he'd never forget it.  He took one sip of this mixture and felt this energy pouring through his body.  Said that internally, intuitively, he knew he was going to recover.

He started drinking 16 cups of this mixture a day.  He adopted a vegetarian diet.  Started doing 2 coffee enemas per day. Within 3 weeks the grapefruit sized tumor on the side of his neck was totally gone, and within a further 6 weeks- a total of 9 weeks, his doctors and oncologists couldn't find cancer anywhere in his body.  Now you can imagine the Hollywood tabloids got a hold of this story, and it was in every newspaper in Hollywood.  "Hollywood Actor Cures himself of Cancer! He started getting 3,000 people showing up at his door! Initially he was giving away the tea but because it took up all his time, he started selling it.  Now, that was in 1977, and to this day there are millions of users around the world in 70 different countries, and Sir Jason, for his work for humanity, has been awarded 9 international government awards from 9 different foreign governments.

Alan: That's an amazing story, isn't it?

Gary: It is! And Doctor Ian Pierce MD, a British doctor was asked by the British Medical Association to actually test the tea, because they heard that everyone was healing left, right and center from all sorts of problems. So Dr. Pierce got a hold of the tea, tested it in his laboratory, and he wrote his famous letter, but he also called Sir Jason on the phone. He said, "I have good news and bad news for you. The bad news is the tea didn't heal your cancer.  But the good news is we tested the tea and we found it to be such a powerful blood purifier, that what happens is the tea helps purify the blood, and once the toxins are out of the body, every system in the body then starts working properly.  The body's own natural immunity kicks in, and the body heals itself."

Alan: That makes sense, doesn't it?

Gary: It does. And actually for this medical doctor to state that, and he said that this would happen for all conditions, it just wouldn't be related to cancer. Dr Pierce believes, and I agree 1000%, that only the body can heal itself! Sir Jason's tea  assists the body in doing that.

Alan: Yeah, well of course, there are so many toxins in our environment these days, that you can just imagine that most people would have a lot of toxins in their body, wouldn't they?

Gary: No matter where we are on this planet, and this is the scary part, we're covered in toxins.  They've gone to the Arctic Circle, they've gone to a chain of islands about 2800 miles from the mainland of Hawaii - they're still part of the Hawaiian Islands- they are the most isolated islands in the world with no humans living there- but with all the animals they tested, they find DDT, PCB's, and all sorts of drastic chemicals. We are literally drowning in a sea of toxic chemicals! 

I know up in Townsville last year they tested a hundred percent of the women in a maternity unit, and they all had this special flame retardant- it's in all the cushions, mattresses, chairs, in your car- in all plastics, computers, and the plastic components of cars- and they're saying it's worse than DDT was 30 years ago, 100% of the women in Townsville had it.  On A Current Affair last year, Ray Martin said the average Australian consumes over 200 food additives a day, and in Australia there are something like 4,000 chemicals used and the majority of those have been designated safe, but they haven't been tested either in isolation or in combination with the other chemicals. 

So our body is under an assault that it has never experienced it's entire evolutionary process and look- if we gave us a million years we'd adapt, we'd develop certain mechanisms inside of us that would be able to handle these things, but this assault on our bodies have only happened since the end of WWII, so in that short time period, we're just being snowed under and we're witnessing a breakdown of the immune system of all westerners, actually, all people of the world right now.

Alan: Yes, that's obvious by the conditions that we're seeing coming out, aren't we?

Gary: That is correct, and what we need to realize is, and this is in anything, not just with our health- I always recommend being proactive. Don't wait until you get the diagnosis, but start doing things on a daily basis that can help us deal with this toxic onslaught and for me, one of the easiest things to do is drinking two or three cups of very pleasant tasting herbal tea that actually only costs 20 cents per cup.

Alan: Well, I've been drinking the tea now for about a year, and I very much enjoy it. It's benefited me, in fact, I fill up a 2 litre thermos every day with the tea in it, and just have about 9 cups a day.

Gary: That's a great amount!  And Dr. Ian Pierce wrote a further report for the British Medical Association. He felt around 3 cups a day would be quite a good amount to help the body resist any chronic or degenerative illnesses that may want to form in a person.

Alan: Yeah, absolutely, so what's that- 60 cents a day?

Gary: 60 cents a day, and used in conjunction with other health promoting things- good diet, exercise, sunshine, fresh air, etc, and all of a sudden you are in this state where you no longer need to live in fear. And we have such horrible things such as the AIDS epidemic, mad cow disease, bird flu, so many things that grab our attention it's almost as if we're afraid to step out the door- but when you are living well and knowing your body is working at a good capacity with a strong immune system, good circulatory system, etc, there is no need to fear these things.  The body, I feel, is more than capable when it's in its optimal condition to deal with whatever comes along.

Alan: Sure, ok Gary  I've got a couple of questions for you if I could. I know that you do have a couple of versions of the tea, one with Indian Sage in it, can you tell me a little bit- and that's actually the one that I drink- in that one the Indian Sage is used instead of the Chaparral, is that right?

Gary: That's right.  The way this came about is the Chaparral blend was the original blend and the only blend at the time and after selling that for 2 years, thousands of customers were getting back to Sir Jason saying they love the medicinal properties of it, we're feeling fantastic, better than they've ever felt before, but we're getting tired of the same old flavor.

They asked Sir Jason if he could possibly change the flavor but keep the medicinal properties the way they were, so that we could start alternating between a few different tastes?  So Sir Jason went back to the Native American Indians and also Dr Pierce, and interestingly enough, they both came up with the same solution.  They said take out the Chaparral, replace it with Sage, which is from a similar botanical family, and you'd have an entirely different taste, yet it would have the same medicinal properties. Sir Jason did that and sent both of the teas to Dr. Ian Pierce to test in the laboratory, and he did report that they did the same thing. So now we have 2 flavours that are extremely pleasant. 

If I had to categorize the taste, I'd say the Chaparral blend is a crisp, clean taste on the pallet, where as the Sage is slightly sweeter naturally, with a mellower taste- but both are my 2 all time favorite herbal teas to drink.
